Blackwell Family Reunion
About Us
The Blackwell Family reunion was established for the purpose of providing a happy occasion and meeting place annually whereby the family can fellowship in unity, honor their commitment to family life and engage in activities to strengthen the bond of family times continuously.

The Blackwell Family is representative of individuals who lineage can be traced to Africans, Europeans, Americans, and Indians through bloodlines.  African tribes include the Ashanti, Fulani, and the Soninkes.  Our Native American ancestors were primarily members of the various tribes belonging to the Saponi confederation.

"Our reunions provide us with an opportunity to engage in fellowship, story telling, dancing, and travel, in addition to participating in civic and cultural events.  Just as our ancestors passed down stories from generation to generation, we too shall keep the Blackwell history alive by sharing the stories of our families with future generations.  Our historian, family tree and books have proven invaluable in keeping our family history in the forefront of all reunion activities.  We have verbally, creatively and artistically shared our rich history with our youth who we charge to continue the tradition of sharing with generations to come."
